I love Bernie. I voted for him in the primary.
I met Hillary Clinton when she was running for New York State Senator. I’ve been a fan ever since and intend to vote for her in November.
Given that, I don’t think I’ll ever love a politician as much as Barack Obama.
I was lucky enough to attend the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte in 2012 and cheered for him until I lost my voice. When he was elected in 2008, I was at a bar watching the election results with classmates. They announced that he beat John McCain and I felt an excitement that I’ve only seen in European soccer fans.
Barack Obama hasn’t been a perfect president. No matter what, I’ll always admire what he’s been able to accomplish. He is poised and thoughtful, funny and ambitious. For as long as I live, he’ll always be my president.
